FolkWorld Issue 32 12/2006

Editorial
by Walkin' T:-)M

Here we are again ... eventually. However, to be quite honest, it is not so easy sometimes to keep up a non-profit enterprise such as FolkWorld when you have to do a proper job besides. Drawing by Annegret Haensel Thus we can only hope that the 32th FolkWorld issue contains enough interesting features and reviews about the European folk, world and roots music scene for you to hang on.

Please allow me to point out one more time that FolkWorld lives from the participation of everybody. (So does the folk scene generally.) We are no exclusive club by any means. We not only need readers and writers, but every helping hand is welcome. There is no fortune to make, but the eternal thanks of the folk music community can be yours. So, if you feel like, why not drop a line if you have something to tell!

At least, we keep going. And what's new anyway? From now on, we have set up a news page, called NewsFlash, that will be updated more often than our regular issues will appear. German-speaking readers may find delight in a crime serial, 'Das Blutgericht,' showing that traditional music is not boring to death but deadly in the literal sense of the word. Perhaps more is to come in our FolkWorld Fiction section?!

Finally, the 10th FolkWorld anniversary is just around the corner. And we don't want to miss that, don't we?

Best wishes, T:-)M
